Getting Ahead is Coming in March 2017!! The goal of the Bridges Out of Poverty – Getting Ahead Program, is a plan to put a person in a position to understand why they are in the economic turmoil they are in and how to get out by setting their own goals if they so decide. The participant will individualize their plan and we would help them make contacts in the community to have access to connections to achieve their goal. We want to work with agencey staff and service providers to reffer and supply the participants in this program. In general, it's a diverse group of people, married or single, from the community and surrounding areas. The Details Who: The Branch County Coalition Against Domestic Violence is hosting this program. Facilitators will be Kim Hemker, Amy Miller and Julia McIntyre. The participants can be anyone who is motivated to learn and would like to go on a journey toward their goals. What: During each weekly class a meal will be provided as well as child care. Participation makes you eligible to receive a $25.00 gift card that will be given at the end of each session that is attended. Participation in the whole eleven week program gives you the full benefit. PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED! Where: At the Branch County Coalition Against Domestic Violence in Laura’s Place Community Room, 210 N. Michigan Avenue, Coldwater, MI. When: Wednesday evenings from 5:00 pm – 7:30 pm Class begins on Wednesday March 15, 2017 and lasts 11 weeks. Why: We as a community should be excited about any program that invokes change in the way that we look at our community and allows people to set goals and gives them the tools in which to reach those goals!
